As Stevenson High School’s basketball team comes up this season, both the coach and student athletes are eager to prepare for the upcoming games. The team will face off against Clarkston, followed by matchups against Roseville on Tuesday and Chippewa Valley on Thursday- all at home. These upcoming games will set a stage for what Coach Joseph hopes will be a exciting season.
“This team truly wants to win,” said Coach Joseph. The players have put in extra effort in the weight room and on the court, dedicating extra hours to make sure they’re ready for their matches ahead. With a strong dedication to improvement, the goal for the season is simple: “To get better every day, to have fun, to win the MAC White, and to win districts,” the Coach states. “They understand the process, and they are focused on growth, no matter the outcome of a particular game. Win or lose, they play hard, and that commitment will carry us through the season.”
Coach Joseph expresses his excitement about what the team faces ahead, noting that the schedule is packed with tough opponents. “We’ll be tested early, but that will only prepare us for the MAC White and for the playoffs,” he says. “I can see this team making a run at the MAC White title.”
The competitions throughout the season will not only strengthen the skills of the team but remind the athletes how important it is to work together. Even though there might be challenging oppositions, the Coach believes that this team is more than capable of winning.
Coach Joseph makes it clear that this season is about growth, teamwork, and fun—Not just the wins and losses. The players have already been showing their eagerness for the games, and they’re ready to turn that passion into victory on the court. As the season advances, everyone will be watching the Stevenson boys basketball team as they strive for their goals and make a statement in the MAC White.
The road ahead may be tough, but with a focused and determined team, Stevenson is prepared for a memorable and inspiring basketball season.
