During the first hour on Tuesday, March 19 an announcement came over the school speaker announcing the closing of most bathrooms in the school due to recent vandalism. Restricting restroom access to only certain parts of the building.
Second hour, more rules were added with changes including keeping bathroom passes to a minimum, as all bathroom usage will be closely monitored to prevent further damage.
In an email from assistant principal Robert Enne both of the A and E hallway bathrooms will only be open during all school hours minus fourth which falls during lunch.
All bathrooms will be locked during passing times, and students must sign in to use A and E Hall bathrooms during class hours with G bathrooms open during lunch.
Administration enacted a temporary rule that students must have their school I.D., and a bathroom pass from their class. Students must sign in upon entering the restroom.
School Resource Officer Andy Pawlick said the vandalism is out of line and people need to be more respectful of the school space. He encourages students to come forward with any information.
“If there’s anybody with information regarding who might be damaging or defacing the property,” Pawlick said. “Please see one of the administrators or one of the associate principals.”
