The girls’ varsity soccer team wrapped the 2025 season up by earning a 14-5-1 record and becoming MAC white champions for the third time in school history.
This season held some major highs for Stevenson girls’ varsity soccer. This was one of the first winning seasons in years for the team, and on top of that this was the team’s first division championship since 2005. In the district semifinals, the Titans faced the Troy Colts, where they lost 6-1. While not the ideal outcome for the end of the season, it would be wrong to say this wasn’t a historic year for the team. A winning record, a playoff appearance, a division championship, and a bright future ahead as the team will run it back with a similar squad next year.
Center back Chloe Nissan ’25 said she believes team chemistry was a key part of this successful season.
“Getting to know the new players, and building bonds with everyone on the field, especially at the start of the season, was my highlight of the year,” Nissan said. “We had a rough start, even though our record didn’t show it.”
Nissian added that the team had a rough start with difficulity getting to know each other and jibing as a team; however, that quickly changed.
“We started getting to know each other and getting to know the way each other plays, Nissian said. “So, the connection got really strong really quick. I am looking forward to playing with the same people I’ve played for the past couple years. Central midfielder Issabella Reda ’27 has 12 years of playing experience and she said she is happy with the season’s turnout.
“I think the best part about this season was winning the MAC white division for the first time in 20 years,” Reda said. “It was hard work all season. Every game we had to push. We didn’t have really any easy games this season. All our games were like maximum effort the whole time. I’m hoping that next year I can have a bigger leadership position, because I’ll be an upperclassman next year.”
