To end the season, Theatre Troupe 33 will be doing the “Wizard of Oz.”. This year’s cast is extremely excited for their roles and to be a part of this year’s play.
Hannah Brown ‘26 will be playing Ms. Gulch in the Wizard of Oz.
“It’s my first time having a named character that has lines, and I’m very excited for that,” Brown said. “I’m not too nervous, because I’ve been on stage before, but this is the first time I’ve had an actual sentence for lines. So, I’m a little nervous for that.”
Cast members in the play also show excitement for the choreography that the Wizard of Oz involves. Playing Glinda, Reece Brummel ’ 27, talks about it being her first time with a major role, though being not nervous.
“I don’t think I’m worried, I’m honestly really excited for all the choreography that we’re all doing,” Brummel said. “I’d say this is my first major role, though I have had other supporting roles before.”
It’s exciting to see people have major roles for the first time, as it gives a new chance to those who wanted to try something like that. That doesn’t mean all the cast are new to major leading roles though
Dylan Martinez ’26 has been in many plays in the past, and this time he plays the Oz himself.
“Yeah, honestly, I can’t wait. I’m not worried, just more excited than anything,” Martinez said.
An exciting musical for people to check out, and the cast is thrilled to be playing in it. The performance dates of the Wizard of Oz will be from May 1st to the 3rd 2026 and would be a great way to spend time with friends and family.
