Chase Mulawa is unserious about almost everything in life.
However, one accident to his uncle changed his life forever and is about the only thing he is serious about.
Chase’s uncle was a heavy drinker and smoker and wasn’t a great person overall, but one day changed his life forever.
It was the day after a rainstorm and the river was flooded.
However, Chases’ uncle decided to venture in through the river and ended up getting stuck under a log.
A bystander found him and pulled him out from under the log and gave him CPR. This person forever changed his life and saved him from the dooms of death.
His heart stopped for around 2 minutes, and nobody knew it until someone found him.
Finally, he was resuscitated and was able to make a change to his life.
Chase says, “He got resuscitated and it changed his whole life. He turned everything around and decided to become the person he knew he always could be.”
His uncle changed his life for the better. He stopped drinking and smoking and began to become a better person.
He started to work out and live a healthier and better life.
This story is meaningful for Chase because before he was never close with his uncle. Then after his uncle’s near-death experience he decided to get closer to the people he loves.
Chase said, “Before his accident he gave me a baseball hat from Walmart. It wasn’t anything special, but it had a lot of sentimental meaning to me. Especially after he was up in the air. It goes to show its never too late for second chances.”
This was the day that Chase Mulawa was a serious man and had his life changed.
